Handicapping the Top 12

Now that we're down to the final twelve, each week I'll be ranking the remaining competitors and laying odds on their chances of winning the title. Feel free to chime in with your opinions.

1. Crystal Bowersox
Has yet to stumble in the live performance, despite her ailing health for the past two weeks... still the favorite.
ODDS ON WINNING: 5:1

2. Siobhan Magnus
Improving and gaining confidence each week... has shown incredible vocal range and a charming and quirky personality
ODDS ON WINNING: 7:1

3. Michael Lynche
Appears to have overcome some early uneasiness... just beginning to show his capabilities... fully capable of competing for many weeks to come
ODDS ON WINNING: 10:1

4. Casey James
Needs a little time to settle in a little bit and maintain his confidence without getting cocky... capable of going deep into the competition
ODDS ON WINNING: 12:1

5. Lee Dewyze
Far from being at ease during performances... appears to be over-thinking song choices and arrangements
ODDS ON WINNING: 14:1

6. Didi Benami
Irritatingly inconsistent during performances... needs to improve significantly and quickly to stay in the hunt
ODDS ON WINNING: 20:1

7. Andrew Garcia
Song choice is critical for Andrew... "theme" weeks could help him by narrowing his song choices... he'll either figure it out or he'll go home soon
ODDS ON WINNING: 25:1

8. Katie Stevens
The move to classic rock theme weeks like the Rolling Stones will further complicate Katie's song selection... She has yet to impress the judges and is lucky to still be in this competition
ODDS ON WINNING: 30:1

9. Aaron Kelly
Still visibly nervous during performances... another teen singer that will likely have issues with older classic rock material, however several Stones songs can be twisted with a country vibe
ODDS ON WINNING: 33:1

10. Tim Urban
Very lucky to be hanging on... he'll need to deliver stellar performances of carefully selected songs to stay around
ODDS ON WINNING: 50:1

11. Lacey Brown
Very narrow range and a voice as thin as tissue paper... will have trouble handling the more sophisticated material that lies ahead
ODDS ON WINNING: 75:1

12. Paige Miles
Probably should have been voted out last week... but with some smart song choices, she has enough natural talent to rise back through the ranks... it wont be easy
ODDS ON WINNING: 100:1
